I've set up a series of tests to run in order:
digit-span --> lexical decision --> item rating (using surveypage sliders).
It works find on my Windows 8 PC, however one group of people who are piloting for me are using Windows XP, and there are two problems...
First in the digit-span task no numbers appear in the box when you type them. They register, and if you press "next" it works, but the typed numbers are invisible.
Second, when the final rating test finishes, inquisit hangs on a blank screen between the final rating page and the post-instructions page. If left long enough a dialog box to save the data file to the hard-drive pops up... but that's it.
Is there any good reason why this might be happening?
I'm at a bit of a lose for what to do to be honest.

Update: Problem 1 fixed. Actually it was a problem with the monitor size, not Windows XP. Still unable to resolve the "white screen" problem though.

I don't think anything meaningful can be said about the second issue without the actual code and the link to the experiment's launch page, I'm afraid. In general, the behavior you describe with
"inquisit hangs on a blank screen between the final rating page and the post-instructions page. If left long enough a dialog box to save the data file to the hard-drive pops up"
would point to a network connectivity issue.
