hi,

a participant reported the following error "Inquisit was unable to contact the server to verify that the script is licensed. The script will not be run." I received the email from the P last night around 6:20PM. Was Inquisit's server down or was this a problem with P's internet connection? something else?

Thanks Dave. I looked at the post. Are you saying that Ps should read the blog in order to be able to access our study? Seems like a lot to ask ...

What I'm saying is that the error is due to either (1) either a firewall is blocking the plugin from communicating with the server or (2) the client machine does not have TLS 1 enabled. (2) is particularly likely when running (outdated) Windows XP. TLS can be enabled via Internet Options -> Advanced -> Security -> Check 'Use TLS 1.0'. Hope this helps.
