Likert without preselection and with back/forward button

Group: Forum Members Posts: 5, Visits: 29	Hey there, I nee da likert without preselection of a value. The preselection is unfavourable, if you are having an even number of points. And even if I am having an odd number of points I don't want the preselection in the middle. Does Inquisit 5 bring there some improvements? What can I do?

Correct, that's not possible with <likert> elements. If you require forward & backward navigation, you ought to work with <radiobuttons> on <surveypage> elements administered via a <survey>. Otherwise, you'd also have the option to build a custom likert-scale using standard <trial>, <text> and <picture> elements, see e.g. https://www.millisecond.com/download/library/v2/CustomLikert/customlikert.zip
