Hi all,
today, I added a new user to our departmental account (elkehoffmann). She received the signup email as usual, set a password, and then tried to log in (all within a few minutes of my creating the account). However, the login page directed her to a blank page instead of the usual account dashboard. Reloading and Ctrl+F5 reloading changed nothing. We reproduced this issue on two further computers running different browsers (she was using Safari, I believe; we reproduced on Chrome and Firefox). Going to millisecond.com manually showed that the user was logged in (the Login option on the top right was replaced by the options for logged in users), but trying to access the account dashboard or profile from here failed as well (blank screen, as described). The email address didn't have any unusual features that I noticed (e.g., special characters) and the domain was one that we have used successfully in the past.
Funnily enough, it was possible to log in to other, existing accounts normally (tested on the Chrome and Firefox computers); the account dashboard was displayed as expected. However, this one new user account did not work.
I have already tried deleting the account and recreating it, as well as temporarily setting it to Admin status - nothing helped. Currently, the account has been deleted and we're waiting for an hour or two before recreating it, in case server propagation is somehow involved.
Any ideas what might be wrong? Assistance appreciated!
